Access to Better Healthcare Technology for Everyone‘,

Dear supporters

Background

The Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) registered the ACPSEM Foundation Ltd (the Foundation) as an ACNC approved charitable organisation in 2017. For the purposes of sending our message out for what the Foundation aims to achieve, it has internationally used the registered brand name of Better Healthcare Technology Foundation.

Why have a Charitable Foundation?

The ACPSEM is the peak professional body representing the healthcare practice and services in physical science, biomedical engineering, and radiopharmaceutical science. A large proportion of the ACPSEM professional expertise is provided as a technical and scientific support enabling services for cancer diagnosis, treatment, research, and development. Their expertise is important in overseeing the technology used extensively for treating cancer patients.

The Foundation

The objective is to reach out and provide easy public Access to Better Healthcare Technology for Everyone. It’s about facilitating and supporting research, development and information exchange on up-to-date modern healthcare technology. It’s aimed to be an internationally recognised reliable, no conflict source provided by scientific and technical experts in the field.

I am pleased to report that the Foundation has just completed an extensive 5-year (Phase I) consultation and review between the ACPSEM and Foundation Boards.
